December 9, 2016 Chapter Meeting/Elections

Join us on December 9th to elect next year's board. Lunch and elections will be held at the Mayflower Chinese Restaurant. You can nominate yourself or a friend for any position by emailing nominations@issa-sac.org. There are many vacancies next year including Logistics, Chapter Relations, membership and President. ISSA Election Information

Election: December 2016

You can earn 20+ CPEs as a board member

 

** President: The President is the chief executive officer of the chapter and presides at all meetings. The President has the power to call special meetings and has the deciding vote in case of tied decisions. In the case of the President’s absence at a meeting or event, the position may be filled by another member of the Board, subject to the consent of a majority of the membership attending the event. The President is a group administrator of your chapter's site on the issa.org website. This position is required by ISSA to maintain the chapter.

Vice President: The Vice President assumes the duties of the President in his/her absence or in the case of a vacancy in the presidency and assists the President in administrative and other duties as the President may require.

** Secretary: The Secretary helps with preparation of meetings and documents/distributes meeting minutes as well as all other chapter records. The Secretary is also responsible for preparing a bank reconciliation monthly. The Secretary is a group administrator of your chapter's site on the ISSA.org website. This position is required by ISSA to maintain the chapter.

** Treasurer: The Treasurer maintains records of all membership dues and other monies or articles of value belonging to the Chapter, and shall keep an accurate account of all treasury receipts, expenditures, and deposits This position is required by ISSA to maintain the chapter.

Logistics: Generally organizes lunches. Not an ISSA suggested position. This is a local chapter role only.

Operations: Generally organizes a venue to meet. Not an ISSA suggested position. This is a local chapter role only.

Chapter Relations: The Vendor Relations/Sponsorship Director the point person between your chapter and security vendors. This director is responsible for developing and managing sponsorship opportunities and ensuring vendor neutral content in educational presentations by vendors.

Communications: The Communications Director shall manage the communications activities of the chapter.

Education: The Education Director shall coordinate activities pertaining to the chapter meetings and educational offerings. The Education Director should strive to recruit speakers that fulfill the needs of the members and their stage in their career lifecycle. The director will establish and solicit members for a committee if necessary, and chair the committee.

Membership: The Membership Director is responsible for maintaining membership lists and oversees the guest, recruitment and retention programs and activities as well as the participation and engagement of all members.

Webmaster: The Webmaster is responsible for the ongoing design, support and maintenance of you chapter’s website; including gathering and publishing up-to-date facts, schedules, and announcements of all Chapter activities. ISSA International offers complimentary website hosting for chapters and email for your board members
