Click to Attend The Internet of Things We are reminded more and more often nowadays that our many Internet connected devices can be vulnerable to malicious attack. Because many of our users are working from home, that means there can be impact from refrigerators, smart TVs, sprinkler systems, etc. This discussion will survey a few examples of vulnerable devices in order to continue raising awareness around the need to observe/protect non-PC devices that are network attached, even consumer-grade devices.
Speaker: Carl Neidhardt, President and Principal Consultant, CARLNTECH LLC
Bio: Carl Neidhardt has worked in IT since 1986, for both the public and the private sector, with focuses on networks, security, and cloud computing. He holds a B.S. in Business Information Systems, as well as certifications in AWS, Azure, Check Point, Aruba, and the CISSP. Carl is the founder of CARLNTECH, LLC, a reselling and consulting firm, and is a frequent presenter on security topics at local forums like the Cyber Security Symposium, DataConnectors, and the Sacramento Chapter of the ISSA.
