ISSA Sacramento Valley Chapter Meeting

Due to the continuing pandemic, we will meet remotely on Zoom. Everyone who registers for the meeting will be emailed the Zoom meeting info the week of the meeting, so please register.

Speaker: Roger Schotsal, Palo Alto Networks System Engineer

Topic: Practical Applications of Zero Trust Security. View the presentation here.

Description: Zero-Trust Security instills fear in CIOs and CISOs with visions of 100s if not 1000s of NGFWs. It doesn't necessarily have to be that way - it's more about finding innovative ways of reducing the attack surface and reducing your exposure to attacks. In this talk we'll review some techniques organizations can leverage to make zero-trust both manageable and practical.

Speaker Bio: Roger Schotsal is dedicated to helping state government customers deploy security architectures to protect their business. With over 20 year experience developing and deploying security technologies Roger has dedicated himself to leveraging his consulting background to deliver customer solutions. He works with organizations to develop strategic roadmaps and then refines these strategies into solution architectures that organizations can practically implement. Roger hols and MBA from UC Davis Graduate School of Management and several technical certifications (SANS, Palo Alto Networks, JNCIE, etc.).
