Topic:  Cloud security: Understanding Internal DNS Security for On-Premise & In-Cloud Environments

90%+ of Malware utilizes internal DNS infrastructure during Penetration, Infection and Exfiltration.  This discussion will address DNS Security Prevention Mechanisms.  Attendees will leave with a understanding DNS, DNS based Threats, and how to prevent them within their own organizations. At the end of session there will be a ‘0’day Malware simulation.  Attendees will leave with free access to an Infoblox SaaS portal which can be used by Red Teams, Pen Testers or other Security personnel to determine if their organization is susceptible to ‘0’ Day DNS based threats.

Ryan Ettl has a Bachelor of Science Degree from California State University, Chico.  His experience includes 13 years working job roles in Network Operations Center, Security Operations Center, Network Security Engineering and Solution Architect at the largest semi-conductor company in the greater Sacramento area.  For the last 6 years, Ryan works as a Sales Engineer and Solution Architect helping customers improve their security posture at Infoblox.  His security based certifications include GSEC, GCIA and CISSP.
