Introduction to NMAP!

Nmap is a free and open source utility for network exploration and security auditing.  It can be used for network inventory, vulnerability assessment and much more.  A must-have tool for all security professionals.  In this workshop students will be given an overview and hands-on experience using the tool.  To get the most from this event students should bring a laptop preferable with Nmap for Windows preinstalled.  Although, a laptop is not required to attend.

 

The CyberDefender workshops sponsored by ISSA Sacramento Valley Chapter give information security professionals hands-on experience with techniques, tools, and technologies that help protect critical information assets from malicious attack or unauthorized access. Bring your laptop and get ready to play! (You are welcome to come even if you don't have a laptop.) Topic: NMap Nmap is a free and open source utility for network exploration and security auditing.
